BookDirect MeetUp 2019: the Latest Hotel Solutions for the Abundance of Direct Bookings

Desire outstanding direct booking statistics and profits? How can chatbots and Google solutions help? Why is it a paramount issue to have a modern, proven PMS and to provide flexible online payment options? What can we do online and offline to boost direct selling?

All the questions above were answered at the highly successful BookDirect MeetUps which in 2019 took place in Residence Ózon****superior Conference & Wellness Hotel in Mátraháza and in Hotel Azúr**** in Siófok.

Mr Ákos Gyenes, RESnWEB’s hospitality director shared easy to do but remarkably productive steps that help us to educate our guests about the advantages of booking direct and inspire guest loyalty on any platform: via phone, requesting proposals, OTA searchers, walk-in, corporate or returning travellers.

Mr Gábor Dencs, Bonomi’s expert offered valuable insights into chatbots that are becoming more and more widespread and evident in hospitality. As they have already proved their merits of providing support and effective marketing tools, it is easy to see why chatbots are so essential when it comes to building direct connections with our present and would-be guests.

BDMU 2019 warmly welcomed Mr Ádám Kühtreiber on the behalf of Infor who opened his treasure chest of a modern, native cloud-based PMS and the audience was amazed by all the valuable possibilities that can ease hoteliers’ everyday lives and sales decisions and that take the heavy burden of constant software upgrade off our shoulders.

Mr Ádám Erdős from Google and Mr Alex Győri from Intren encouraged the audience to take full advantage of Google’s free tools and to smartly use ads so that hotels can occupy their rightful and noteworthy place on the map: on Google Maps and in the world of hospitality as well.

Our last but not at all least presenter was Dr Attila Horváth, BIG FISH Payment Gateway’s experienced financial expert who elaborated on competent online money management and current and future customer expectations. Besides, he mentioned the unavoidable and crucial data protection and legal regulations of online payment.

In addition to hotel experts, representatives of the SOS Children’s Village also introduced themselves at the event and invited participants to join their special win-win hotel check-out program.

The abundance of questions during and after the talks and the same high number of interested hoteliers at the exhibitors’ desks proved the significance and popularity of the issues above. Thank you all for your rapt attention and responsive participation!
